Long rant that will probably piss off most here:
There's a difference between having faith that our side can win (we can, absolutely) and blindly declaring 4D Brilliance for comfort. I'd have thought Sessions, Barr, Durham, and the fact that Hillary, Joe, Hunter and Obama haven't faced a bit of consequence for their corruption would have smothered the 'trust the plan' logic. There's no predetermined plan. This cozy assurance was a distraction, a Siren's call from LARPers or legit crazies, that wasted the better part of Trump's first term.
Now, thanks to more of the same Q-tier promises from Powell, the Kraken rhetoric has overshadowed Trump's strong constitutional case re: ballot irregularities in every battleground State, signature checks, refusal of GOP monitors in PA, and it might cost him his second term.
Trump's legal team publicly distanced themselves from Powell citing concern over her unproven Dominion allegations (note: Dominion was absolutely abused, there is evidence of that, just not nearly in the quantity of Powell's charge) and people here still rationalized it as a cunning 'trust the plan' maneuver.
No, the fact she wasn't officially part of his legal team isn't relevant, people who use this excuse to minimize impact are rationalizing. That Trump felt it so important to very publicly inform America she is not speaking for him at the cost of further embarrassing his legal team.. even before Rudy's hair dye could dry.. IS relevant.
His team is in a vulnerable state as they gather evidence & put together one of the most important & potentially damning cases in our Nation's history and he did this. He did this not in aid of a secret squirrel, Kraken tactic. Powell was hurting his chance to win.
I get the feeling many people here would swap a boring constitutional court victory, resulting in a second term for Trump, for a thrilling LOSS and four years of Joe Biden -- if it meant preserving the great hunt for grand conspiracies.
Yes Democrats cheated big. And colossal, postdated promises will not defeat them. We only win with what can be proven and the January deadline is sprinting towards us.
I think your reading into into this too much and filling in blanks no one outside of Trump's campaign truly knows.
For example: how does anyone know that Trump himself made the call to distance from Powell?
Further, Giuliani made it clear he knew what Powell was doing, and gave her a spot to talk about it. It's hard to imagine a scenario where somehow she's embarrassing them when that is known.
The statement from Jenna Ellis was simply a clarification; nothing more and nothing less. People are seriously jumping the gun here.
Giuliani and co will retake the stolen election by proving ballot fraud. Sidney and others like Lin will prove everything about Dominion, Serbia, etc. in court with all their evidence we have seen, and the evidence we haven't seen yet.
It would be wise to not get discouraged about Powell's work just because the media fabricated a story out of a statement of clarification.
Everyone needs to stop with the blatant Trump Team mindreading and take a breath.
