I know of two. But they might not have. Hard to say. They were both men, one 59, one 62, with big bellies, who liked a glass of whiskey. How can you know what they died of.

Damn it. I like a glass of whiskey.

It's how much whiskey, and how often.

And they were both fat.

Trump got over it. I think hydroxychloroquine, a trusted malaria drug, should be widely available.

My 70+ uncle got it and recovered within a week or so.

I know of two. They were both older men with underlying conditions.

I have known of two dozen or so get it and recover. Most with a mild illness.

Great uncle 88 years old with cancer tested positive was briefly hospitalized. He has since recovered. He still may die, but most likely from the cancer.

I feel bad for those that have had it and for the family of those that died. However if we shut down the economy everytime someone died a preventable death, we would cause a lot more death.

I have not, I had an uncle die, in the spring, and he tested negative twice, but he allegedly tested positive after death. Maybe an antibody test.

I have a big family. My dad had 4 brother/3 sister. My mom's mother had 2 brother/6 sister. So I know quite a few ppl in my close family

2 people we know have caught it: one 65 year old friend who dang near died of H1N1 last time that was around and still has lung damage from it, and my Odious Brother In Law who is T2D, about 75 pounds overweight. Neither died.

Dude number 1 smokes despite his lung issues and gets drunk about every other weekend. He is also something of a germophobe since his H1N1 experience. Masks, gloves, social distancing, got groceries delivered, the works. He was sick as a dog for about 3 days. Chills, fever, aches/pains, no sense of smell or taste. Then he slept probably 18 hours a day for 2 weeks after that. He was still testing positive 3 months later...And his live in GF has tested negative the whole time.

My Odious Brother In Law lost his sense of taste and smell, fever, headache, aches/pains. Was sick in bed about 4 days at home, and has been sleeping most of the time since for the last 2 weeks. Bear talks to him daily. He said tonight that today was the first day he managed to stay awake more than 3 hours at a time. His Wife (an actual Karen in every way), is still testing negative.

Conversely, in the last 20 years or so we have lost over a dozen friends to various flus, plus a half a dozen family members. During H1N1 I lost 2 healthy cousins, both younger than me. One of our friends had her 13 year old daughter die of H1N1. Our friend who caught H1N1 (and now COVID) spent over 2 weeks in ICU with it.

I know over 50 people who got it including myself. 1 unfortunately passed away, in his 60s, diabetic, but still very sad.

Everyone else, had the same thing I had, was literally a cold for a week.

I tested negative yesterday even though I tested positive 3 times last month while I had it.
