I have noticed some irregularities in posts recently. It appears that some users are using bots to upvote/comment their own posts to get them on the front page. Mods, please implement IP filtering at some point to stop this nonsense. It prevents good articles making it through the noise to the front page.

1000 upvotes on posts in 20 minutes. The typical post in rising takes about an hour to get to 75 - 150
Are you sure they're not posts that were stickied? Those get lots of upvotes quickly.
eta basically everyone on the top half of the first page (which was whereI stopped looking) I did see as a sticky.
I had a post get stickied that got 5000 upvotes in 45 minutes. Not unreasonable for a good sticky. I was super stoked about it.
Plenty of young posts in Hot lately that are not stickies.
Those posts were all stickies. Those always get lots of upvotes quickly because they're the first thing people see.
Me thinks they doth protest too much
