I’m always going to regret not taking my dad on a big hunting trip to Alaska. We used to hunt all the time together but when I moved away for work we weren’t able to hunt. Always wanted to surprise him with a big hunting trip but never got around to it. Fuck what a mistake that is.
He just wants time with you. Trips are great but it's really the time that matters. There were a lot of things I missed out on. He had a whole other life. I got a few days at the end with him. I'm glad for those days even though it was hell. But yeah the bottom line is to make time, as much as possible.
