It is always darkest before the dawn, brother. We are at the beginning of a new age of prosperity and hope for this nation and the western world. It is going to be epic.
We all have faced hardships of varying degrees, and yours sound pretty rough... but you do NOT want to miss the next few years. Do not focus on your difficulties, but instead, identify and focus on your blessings.
Step one would be go to the dog pound, and get yourself a brand new best friend, and train him and spoil him. Rescue him, and he'll rescue you.
