I agree, they dug themselves deeper and deeper accelerating rapidly since September. There is no turning back for them if Trump gets a second term, they will be backed into a corner, and we should expect them to escalate further.

I do not see this ending peaceably. Hopefully, Donald retains the presidency and all they can muster is a sad little coup with a few on-the-take Generals that are quickly quashed due to the enlisted men being loyal to the president.
