I deport all handshake accounts that are hundreds of days old, which have been just recently activated and behave questionably.

However, I also find many handshake accounts which are 250-365 days old but have a sporadic history with suspiciously low patriot points.

Would you deport the second example?

I've noticed most sleeper accounts seem to have been created either ~365 or ~250 days ago.

I only look at post history if something they posted tiggered me to. That trigger is the first warning.

Then I simply look at post history. If it's only a few posts, then instant deport. I don't care how long ago the posts were. Anyone who lurked legitimately but only is now coming out to post questionable stuff is a trash user anyway.

This is my rationale as well. Basically I'll excuse a potential shill post if the account looks legit, but otherwise best if they come back with a fresh acct and build a score which matched acct age.

Yes I've seen this too. They do exist.

I find most sleeper accounts go back a few weeks to a month.

Year old accounts tend to be real and coincide with a specific event.

GnosticAwakening [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yeah, the year old accounts coincide with platform going public

However it would make sense for shill farms to immediate flood accounts in preparation, so I don't think it lends credibility, personally.

Liberty_Prime 2 points ago +2 / -0

A year of experience proved it for me.

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

What would be your rationale?

The only thing that would make sense is creating an account for the sake of lurking, but never interacting? For what benefit? Settings?

Liberty_Prime 1 point ago +1 / -0

A lot of people created accounts, but never really took the leap. But the importance of that time frame is it was before the great exodus. And 95% of those accounts were made by active members.

As for inactivity? Once the election crap went down, we were the source to go to. If their software memorized the username and password, they just hopped into their existing accounts.

But really. 5 months in...if I saw a 5 month old account, they were solid, but probably having a bad night.

I remember that second exodus. I remember posting in consume product that we didn't build they're new home. We merely built the bridge. Their future was theirs to control. It was received well.

Well I only bother looking at an account if it looks like a shill to begin with, so my sample is obviously biased, but there's a definite pattern... so I suppose I'm seeing your 5%.

My only concern is where to draw the line. Would be cool to get some mod feedback.

Yeah, good resource. It would make sense for shill farms to get in early to appear legitimate.... however mods were smart to base legitimacy on activity rather than age.

Those were two days where a lot of people came over from Reddit. My own account is right at 250. It was about the time of the messages that Spez was sending out chastising people for liking memes that were not State-approved. That’s when I told Red to fuck off and deleted my account.

I signed up under “brickapede” when TD first started. Some kind of glitch caused me to never be able to sign back in. Perhaps it’s out there sleeping still.

For those unaware, here's an example of a sleeper account shill

Old account, first activity, demoralization propaganda.

No, you're fine. Don't worry.

1
schism 1 point ago +1 / -0

Handshakes don't designate only new accounts, but lack of points too?

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yes, only lack of point I believe...

Some sleeper accts will immediately begin karma harvesting to try to get rid of it, i.e.:

"<---- This many people support Trump"

1
PhoQueDemocrats 1 point ago +1 / -0

Just curious what a handshake account is?

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Handshake icon next to account name indicates below karma threshold

2
PhoQueDemocrats 2 points ago +2 / -0

Ah! Thanks!

I would likely fit the second example actually in terms of age of account and lack of patriot points. I came over here some time ago, and lurked and read. Used to post on r/T_D off and on under my (similar) reddit handle.

Life got complicated and I did very little anywhere on line for a long time, and I never saw a reason to start talking here. When all this election shit hit the fan, I started contributing my opinion.

But Anyone who reads my comments would at least know that while I was silent for some time, I am absolutely a committed Trump supporter, conservative and a pede.

I deport obvious shills. I am on the fence about doomers, it depends on their overall posting history. Plenty of us have our occasional bad day.

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah that's my take also, just wondering where to draw the line when a red flag is raised.

My worry is letting accounts slip through the cracks to become legitimized as this site explodes and we reach increasingly critical times approaching January.

2
Serioussurfaholic 2 points ago +2 / -0

Oh, I absolutely agree. I have been puzzling over my criteria since I started actively deporting shills. I hadn't given thought to sleeper accounts as you so accurately termed them. I have been rather busy and preoccupied with offline things, and picking up the news of the day here.

But this does need some serious consideration, especially going forward. As our population grows, factions will develop regardless, it's a typical thing anywhere you get a group of people together. But we need as much unity of purpose as we can get around here.

It puts me in mind of Washington's complaint that he didn't have a 10,000 man army, had had 10,000 1 man armies.

I would say the occasional doomer day is one thing, but seeing a doomer pattern develop over time is quite another. But I really can't think of a metric that would allow for that balance efficiently. Hmm.

I think we need to continue tossing this idea around and see what consensus develops if nothing else. Because you raise an extremely important point. Regardless of the oval office outcome, we will have much work to do. We will need to be an effective force behind Trump, and supporting our Republic.

I have to go to bed, it is late here. But I am glad I saw your post before doing so, it will give me something to think about.

Information warfare, get your head in the game.

1
Return_Of_The_LAMFF 1 point ago +1 / -0

The information war was over as soon as they rigged voting machine software, stopped counting ballots, and had the corporate media gaslight the entire world that Joe Biden won an election that has zero voter fraud. Worrying about demoralization shills on pro-Trump message board that is largely unknown by the general populace is a waste of your time. Better to figure out a way for everyone to organize as we all seem like isolated keyboard warriors at this point.

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Showing our numbers in public is a huge part of the information war, and is directly tied to morale/demoralization.

All warfare is related, and this platform is an increasingly significant part of it going forward.

If we're to win, then a fire has to be ignited, and we are one such flame & growing quickly.

1
Return_Of_The_LAMFF 1 point ago +1 / -0

Agreed. When is the next meetup for Trump supporters in states like PA & GA where recounts and audits are occurring?

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

It's every day, every Capitol building, every state, but especially weekends.

Fuck no. Every pede who’s any pede will have a main and alts. Sometimes more than one main. I post all of my spiciest memes on alts.

Look for divisiveness, concern trolling, slide threads. Read up on cointelpro. That is all.

2
GnosticAwakening [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah, I don't look at an account unless it looks like a shill post to begin with.

1
JingleBerry 1 point ago +1 / -0

There’s fakes in here I see now , btw - Beware.

Another technique: Look for insane amount of comments in short periods of times. Somebody who comments a hundred times in two days, that’s sus.

Handshake icon by username indicates below certain "karma" threshold

Well, I just learned something useful. Never noticed the handshake before. Kinda hard to see with the dark theme setting on.

Handshake symbol next to the handle shows a "new" account, apparently goes away with activity. So an account that is a year old but still has the symbol would be suspicious. Of course it's always possible that the sporadic activity it due to a crazy work schedule, eg. I used to disappear on sites for months at a time because I worked twelve hour shifts and the OT was flowing freely.

I've been here a week. I've been very active. I've been banned twice now. Absolutely no problem. Friendly Fire should be expected for new fish and erratic behaviour.

1
GnosticAwakening [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

Oh weird, depends on behavior I suppose, but new accts are obvious targets, yeah.
