I feel like the only millenial I know that fucking hates everything to do with rap and hood culture. The only rappers I like in short bursts are NF and Hopsin and it's because NF is actually interesting and Hopsin is the anti-rapper rapper.
It all just sucks.
Nothing cool has ever come from it but it's the only place where a sliver of masculinity is fully accepted (and it's the slap-a-ho type so it barely qualifies) so dumbshits latch on to it. They're starving for it and it's the only source they can find without feeling guilty for some reason
We used to have rock n' roll. Music with soul in it. A sense of pain. You don't find people coming up with good soul music either anymore (which is fucking amazing, for the funk of it) instead it's just "Jit yea mah diyuk!" over a shitty beat mixed up in a pirated copy of Cubase over a "sample" they stole from a real artist.
I miss good music. Real black music is blues, jazz, funk, and soul. High class stuff. I have a feeling Jimi Hendrix would laugh his ass off if he got a listen for what passes today seeing that bad motherfucker invented "white guitar music"
