I've never really liked Shapiro or Klavan. They were always clueless dorks and the afterbirth of the Bush years. They were all in for losers like Romney and McCain back in the Obama years, not out of a sense of well at least they are better than Obama, but they truly believed in that vision.

They are a hold over of the loser era of politics for Republicans and should be regarded as such. It was the populist rhetoric of Trump and his ideas (which took a lot from people like Buchanan) that won an upset victory against the final boss of the DNC Clinton and revitalized the party. Shapiro and the like were strongly against Trump when he came out and fought against him, only to ride his coat tails when they realized he was going to win anyway.

Theres already a lot of revisionist history going around the GOP now. That Trump is a fluk and now we can "return to normal" of offering bailouts and tax cuts to the super wealthy and international corporate power, get involved in more needless foreign wars, and allow middle america to be gutted bc "muh free market" and we all need to tell these cunts to fuck off.

Shapiro wrote articles calling for the genocide of Palestinians so Israel can just have all that land, but got offended and thought it was out of bounds for Trump to say we need to stop so many mexicans from coming here illegally.
