My theory is to bring in a couple of the diversity hires on film filling out bubbles on the ballots and ask a few questions in regards to their actions and intent. Explain to them the consequences for giving false information during a criminal investigation and see how fast the finger-pointing moves up the chain of command. I agree with you there, BUT, if Eric Coomer made those Facebook posts it is more than reasonable to believe he made the alleged remark. At the very least he is an hyperpartisan individual with a massive amount of power when it comes to vote counting. This is more definitely worth pursuing into courts.
