I'm of the same mind. There's a lot of news and analysis that is only reported here, which makes this site a valuable, almost essential resource. But we also lose the viewpoint of the average american. Personally, I'm not opposed to Trump dumping real evidence and calling a militia to DC - but I recognize how extreme and unlikely that is. We constantly risk getting caught up in our own fantasies and confirmation biases on this site.
I believe the election was stolen, but I also believe it may be impossible to find proof, or that the courts may not want to hear it. The courts definitely don't want to make waves and overturn results at this point, so they will require excessive amounts of evidence. All told, there's a decent chance Biden (and then Harris) will be president.
Most my friends and half my family are low-information Biden voters. I even have a friend in the BLM movement, who protests police brutality with their church. Great guy with respectable goals and ideals, despite the overall movement. Trying to remain independent and cross the aisle feels like being the child in a divorce. Even if I want to go live with Trump, that doesn't mean I believe the other side of my family is actively evil (excluding the politicians) or want to cut them out of my life.
And I know part of that is the media trying every day to manufacture consensus and offer the poppy fields of believing their lies where people live in comparative peace.
The pandemic is making it all so much worse. I don't know if that's intentional, or if media/politicians just saw the opportunity and took it.

It's rough.
