Haha always has been. Spain, Portugal, and the catholic church were the same entity in the days of Ferdinand and Isabella. They fought for "the church". Christopher Columbus was supposed to convert natives in the Caribbean to Catholicism but instead they took their food and slaughtered them when the fought back.
