A friend of mine was shocked when I told him that the goal was to get to SCOTUS.
Unironically, he argued that SCOTUS will be biased because everyone is biased while simultaneously maintaining that lower-level judges aren't biased because judges can't be biased.
The tear-out of basic information on civics is imho half the reason for the outrage people stupidly feel. They call foul at the system working as its fucking designed to work.
Yes, all the same people will admit they have seen people IRL cheat in kids sports, cheat on their taxes, cheat if they get undercharged at a store, cheat in golf, cheat in tennis, BUT NEVER WOULD ANY DEMOCRAT CHEAT TO VOTE, and no illegal ever voted.
The worst part is that most lawyers these days can and will tell you that almost all judge decisions in a court can be predicted with 95%+ accuracy by knowing their party affiliation or who appointed them. It's been a sad truth for about a decade.
It's a good thing that Republicans hold the SCotUS, I guess, but this is a fine time we live in where everything needs repairs.
Exactly, which is to be expected. It's precisely why SCOTUS picks matter.
The point of our system is to weed out the bias that we can. Its fallable for sure, but it at least provides a few failsafes depending on the makeup of the courts.
Our systems are designed to weed out the imperfection of individuals as best as we can muster. It's far from perfect but I'd argue that, given the circumstances, the founders did a dman good job.
Maybe the worst part about politics is how anytime some controversy like this happens, everyone starts acting like a constitutional scholar and talking about things they only learned about 5 minutes ago. So this time it's GSA. Omg trump won't even authorize the GSA to begin the transition process! This is an outrage, I am being told!
Or the Ukraine thing. Suddenly everyone out of nowhere had an opinion on quid pro quo and what it means and what constitutes it.
Next it will be chain of custody. Everyone will be able to deboonk claims about chain of custody, even though they had never used those words in that order prior to 2 weeks ago.
It's dangerous to be ill-informed. What I think is funny is they project that on us.
They have done this over and over, 2016 they were all convinced they were going to win, now they are convinced the most blatantly crooked election is all legit.
Let them think we're losing, they're only hurting themselves.
As Rudy said at the presser, "We only have 3 lawsuits."

No Democrat would ever cheat!
Huh? Oh look. Andrew Yang is telling Democrats to vacation to Georgia to vote in the senate election....
And Yang was supposed to be the non-swamp ethical guy. LOL.
Chinese plant. He wants to start China's social credit score here.
How else would he dole out his "freedom bucks"?

That is a false narrative
It only hurts them.
In the cheater states, no surprise. SCOTUS will Judge.
yeah, that's like saying "the wetness is strong in water"
I don’t even argue with anyone that not interested enough to be informed. I just say stuff like don’t worry Trump can only serve 2 4 year terms.
Besides the fact that all but one or two of the lawsuits were from Trump, none of them were kicked out for "lack of evidence".

Looks like dems count lawsuits the same way they count votes for biden.
They sure have an odd way to do maths
