Nobody wants to go be a murderer. Conservatives care about the law. Almost all of us will wait and keep our powder dry until Trump calls for it to happen in the manner the constitution dictates.
But he's not going to do that. Despite all the lies spread about Trump he's actually really empathetic and wouldn't ask people to die for this. Trust me I'd be first in line. But that's not happening. I think he has an ace up his sleeve anyways.

No, I never served in the military or law enforcement so I can't pretend to be ready for what's coming. And if I'm being honest I'm a little nervous. But nevertheless, when the call goes out, I'll be there.
There are many capacities in which to serve. Doesn’t necessarily mean front lines in the trenches blasting.
If we get to the point where my middle-aged, dad ass is on the front lines God help us all. Still, I'm armed, in (reasonably) good shape, and at a great point in my life where I am old enough to have a wealth of experience but still young enough to have a lot of energy. I'm ready to do my part and by the sounds of it, so are many thousands of others.

This is of course all dependent on how it (if it) actually goes down.
Any military force needs admin people, intelligence analysts, cooks, medics, IT people, mechanics and so on. It would be unlikely that many of those positions would be necessary in the militias but probably to some extent.
Outside of that, there are roles to play as spies/informants, saboteurs, propagandists etc.

What has Trump done the last 4 years? He's made it a priority to make sure America is self reliant, self sustaining, AKA America First.
But why?
Because if the courts don't settle it, I truly believe Trump won't step down because of his duty to protect foreign and DOMESTIC threats.
Meanwhile, the media and their ilk will call Biden president, and the US will have two "presidents" after mid January.
Our "allies" will choose who to recognize as our legitimate leader, and 4 years ago, could have held us by the balls to make us cooperate. But Trump spent much of his time making sure we don't need our allies for jack shit.
