His only problem is that he is a young conservative, and his parents have forbid him and I from communicating. He told me I am the only one he can talk to about politics. His parents punish him for reaching out to me on instagram just to say hello.
He is doing ABA therapy and I have to say in the year he has had therapy, his improvements are like night and day. His favorites are letters and numbers and was phonetically sounding them out and doing early reading as early as 18 months.
Thank you for sharing the achievements of your grandson. Autism is still new to us and I have to say its always in the back of my mind if he will be independent someday. So far he looks really high functioning. His therapists say he masters skills so quickly but then his initial diagnosis at 2yo was level 3 autism?!? (My mom to this day doesnt believe he has it. Your son sounds like he is high-functioning and will go on to lead a completely normal life. I never thought that the 4-year old having meltdowns, would become the absolutely calm and loving young man by his 16th birthday that he is today.
