I know this is a joke but it's also true. I joined in 99 and 95% of the military were conservative thinking. Obama gutted the senior ranks during his time and installed a ton of diversity hire officers/programs and way of thinking. Right now I would say the military is 50/50 conservative/liberal with most of the senior leadership being liberal. Conservatives, like myself, in the military walk on egg shells. Mix in how easy it is to ruin your career over the most minor issue with "woke" senior leadership and it's a recipe for failure. They also look after their own, promoting Commie's/Useful Idiots as well. It's a tough fight but we will keep fighting it.
This! I’m in the exact same boat. You have to walk a thin line because every body is trying to jam you up on some PC issue. The culture is definitely night and day from when I joined back in 04. It’s sad what it has become.
