I’m impressed how each thing they say is dumber than the previous statement.

Seriously, why specifically make this point, other than to exert control? Since when is Thanksgiving a national day of singing? It's idiotic.

"Why Mable, that dinner was delicious! After you finish up the dishes, why don't you fire up the Hi-Fi and tune it to that Thanksgiving station that's been playing Thanksgiving music since before Halloween. We'll have a family sing-a-long of our favorite Thanksgiving songs! I hope they play "I Thank You" by ZZ Top!"

"thank u, next holiday" by Ariana Grande also goes on the Thanksgiving Radio playlist, despite being a relatively new entry.

As well as "I'm Dreaming of a White Thanksgiving", that beloved old colonial song my ancestors used to hum, can't leave it off the charts.

"All I Want For Giving Is Thanks" is actually very melancholy and depressing when you listen to the lyrics, but add it on.

By Jove, we'll have almost an entire dozen songs by tomorrow if we keep this up!

When I was a wee girl, my grandpa would gather us up around the Thanksgiving table and we would sing many songs from the old country to show how happy the grandparents were to be in America...

I cannot tell a lie. We ate turkey and watched football. And we liked it. Period.

other than to exert control?

I suspect that's exactly the point.

Unless the Chinese think that people go and sing Christmas carols on thanksgiving?

I just learned that the evening before thanksgiving is a big drinking holiday. Wolf is shutting the bars down early so people will probably just party at their house instead. Now they will add karaoke.
