I was bringing a guy out to the exit and he gave me this sinceare, heartfelt ‘thank you for your service! I know it’s tough cause of all this covid crap, but I appreciate you, you guys don’t get enough credit, thank you so much, thank you for your service.’
I didn’t have the heart to tell him covid isn’t a big deal.
Like, guy, I just wear a mask all day and that’s it. My life hasn’t changed at all.
Did you wheel him into the ICU with 25 beds, 10 filled, and exclaim "WE'RE ALMOST AT FULL CAPACITY!!!!" ?
No, but on my way to get him I passed by the ICU bed that was filled with a drunken loser who was going through withdrawl and screaming his head off at nurses.
