Ehhh. Workplace is a tough one. Because when you're on the clock your words are representative of who writes your paycheck. Just a thought.

Haha, this made me laugh. However, I think on the clock is different. Many people have been fired because of their beliefs OFF the clock.

Nice idea, but the President can't do this. We'd need the House and the Senate on board.

Alternatively, a private citizen that can show financial harm can try to run a test case up to the appeals courts in hopes of getting a determination, but that's pretty unlikely.

Senator Hawley has a bill in the Senate that would restrict big tech by rewriting protections in Chapter 230, but that looks like it will die in committee. SB-3983

Similar bills will likely die until we get either a GOP house + GOP supermajority in Senate, or GOP House/Senate/Presidency. Or potentially that weapon is turned against the Democratic establishment (unlikely)

With luck, the majority of bad actors in our elections will be out in 2022.

I have a feeling something will happen before then.

Presidents do not create laws.

For the workplace, I suggest that unless it is a partisan organization, it should have equal protection under the law.

Either everyone can freely express their beliefs, or no one.

No more laws. Just enforce what our inanable rights guarantee us.

Why not another constitutional amendment? Make it literally impossible for these tech fuckers to get around?

Trump should burn social media to the ground and salt the earth.

I say don't censor speech no matter what. Doesn't matter what is said, good or bad, hurt feelings or not, let speech be handled in the court of public opinion without the fear of backlash from corporations and government.

We need an expansion of the Civil Rights Act to protect individuals against discrimination on the basis of political affiliation.
