Trump is under tremendous pressure to cave. His administration has always been a mixed bag of strong, nationalist Republicans and weak, centrist GOPers riding the wave. While lack of insider status was his greatest strength it was also his weakness It took him 2 years to root out all the snakes that were sold to him as solid conservatives. Think about how much better each and every cabinet member is today than it was in 2017.
