I see an abundant amount of doomers out there as well as some people who honestly don't know what's going on, so I thought I'd fill you guys in on the progress and situation we're currently in.
The election is not over yet. Despite many media "experts" and Twitter handles making the claim, the election is over only when electoral votes have been cast. That day has yet to arrive, so until that day comes legal disputes can take place any or even every day. The objective to officially win the election is for either candidate to reach 270 of the electoral votes, it's even mathematically possible for both to reach that number. The reason the votes haven't been cast yet is because the votes are still being counted. As obvious that may seem there's a reason why electors haven't yet cast their votes, they still aren't sure who won every county and state yet. Now on to the interesting part.
Let's say electors chose to cast their ballots prematurely because they actually believed the media and simply went with it. There's a problem with that, not all electors cast their votes at the same time. Most states have specific deadlines for casting the electoral vote, if states simply rushed to do it as fast as possible they'd run into a big problem: what if neither candidate reaches 270 electoral votes by the final deadline? Assuming a single state fucked up their election so badly that they couldn't decide who won the winning electoral votes by that final deadline, there would be no winner declared despite the election being supposedly over. Electoral college members know this, so when they cast their vote they have to be absolutely sure the vote is given to the person who actually won. For this reason specific states, especially ones with narrow margins of victory, are hesitant to cast votes until the very last second.
So what happens when someone wins the election but this victory is overturned because a state flips and puts them below the needed 270 votes? Only a candidate with 270 of the votes can win. All other results, including a tie, result in a different process taking place. It is possible neither candidate can win even though someone should mathematically be able to win, because if a state can't decide by the deadline they can't simply guess who won and go with it. A victory has to be a legally verifiable win or candidates can choose to dispute the result with courts, ultimately appealing to the SCOTUS after several court battles.
The current situation we're in is that multiple states are in dispute, the margins are so small it may take several recounts and if a state flips there will be even more lawsuits by the person who had won but now ends up losing. The current stage we're in involves court battles, in our case many of them. We've heard Sidney Powell and Rudy going at it, but they've yet to actually file suits in every state they want to. At work here is letting a county complete it's vote tally, you can't challenge an election that isn't decided yet right? Trump's team is currently in the process of gathering evidence to present to the courts, you don't simply show up to court and ask them if they can flip the result. There's 2 ways to convince a judge to change the call for a state: compelling evidence and abundant suspicion that something went wrong. Obviously Team Trump isn't going to rush into court with a sheet of paper and ask them to pretty please rule in their favor. The Team needs as much evidence as they can get their hands on, as well as the best kind that the election did not execute in a legal or proper way. Team Trump is going to wait until the last second to make their move, that would be way until December 14th. As you can see they still have plenty of time to make a case, but if they don't win or make Biden lose then it would really be all over.
Sorry to say this, but if you're expecting some kind of midnight surprise it isn't on the horizon for a few days. I'm as anxious as you guys all are, I want to expect just one juicy state to flip red but expectations are that all states that can be flipped will do so in a 5 day window just before December 14th final deadline. Until then we're stuck reading headlines about court dates and everything related to evidence on here. The court battles are not won by sharing evidence with Tucker, the evidence is presented to judges and no media outlet or person has to see this evidence to change the judge's mind.
Finally, returning to the point I made earlier about 270 votes. If Biden loses enough electoral votes to put him below 270 it's very possible there may be no winner declared through the electoral college. As I detailed in some 270 maps I posted, it's also possible Trump may not reach that number either, he needs to flip more than 3 states to hit that mark. We're currently on the path we expected to be on before the election ever took place, no winner may be the most likely scenario for the electoral college. If and when that happens we'll have a different set of challenges to face, but for now we're stuck on the outside looking in. There really isn't anything we can do at this moment in time apart from provide as much evidence of any kind to Trump and Sidney's legal team to help their case. Some people have pointed out donating is another way to help. For those not in the know campaign contributions are used to pay for a candidates campaign, so what happens when the campaign is already over? Trump's team is currently paying out of pocket for these legal disputes, Sidney is clearly powered by the fumes of rage alone but I'd also like to see some help come her way.
Pray, hope, dig, donate, cheer on. As members of this site and team MAGA that's the best we can do. Court battles are not flashy or exciting, honestly I expect the results of the court case to be delivered in a mild tweet. You only get 1 shot at this, slow and steady works best.

Brilliant. Thanks for the timeline, and also for the analysis.
