I'm from the nw corner of Kansas, and many small towns don't have vets. So farm kids will usually go to KSTATE to get enough of a degree so they can administer medicine and shots to their cattle. Farming isn't a skill you learn from a book. It's handed down to you by years and years of working on the farm as a kid. The farm life in the summer is sunrise to sundown. In Kansas, that's a good 14 hours you'll pull every day, Saturday and Sunday especially if you have livestock. Let's see a non farmer go pull a calf in the middle of the night when it's snowing and 20° out. When each one of those calfves is your main source of income, you'll do anything to make sure it survives. I also can't tell you how much time is spent driving around pastures just checking cows. Gotta make sure none are missing or sick or dead. A lot of driving.

The land is restricted for agricultural use, but you can build a home and farming facilities on it.
If you're black, you get special access to federal mortgages to build a home.
If you're black, you can attend a 'Farmer Conservation Corps' where the government literally pays for everything, from clothing to transportation to housing to food and you even get a paycheck stipend for attending.
Requirements are to be a US citizen over 21, 'have previously identified as black' and 'have one parent of African ancestory'.
You don't actually have to do anything with the land. You can't use it for livestock, though, apparently.

that's something I've been wondering for a while now, too, especially after the midterms a couple years ago. All those last minute ballots that showed up in the dems' dry run for this election as well as all the illegal procedures allowed like ballot harvesting in certain states raise serious suspicion as to how long election fraud has been going on in this country. I think now that election fraud is being talked about so much and more people realize they can send any evidence they discover in to Veritas or Judicial Watch or sue directly, things can be done to combat it more effectively. It sets up a 'racial equity commission' to cry about MUH RAYCIZM in the Dept. of Agriculture, that is by law required to consist of what sounds like 9 Dindus. "3 shall be black farmers/ranchers with 10 years experience", "3 shall be from non-profits that whine about black bullshit", "3 shall be from 1890 Institutions or from the University of DC" (ie: black colleges).
The land is totally free, but it's not more than 160 acres.
The land is restricted for agricultural use, but you can build a home and farming facilities on it.
If you're black, you get special access to federal mortgages to build a home.
If you're black, you can attend a 'Farmer Conservation Corps' where the government literally pays for everything, from clothing to transportation to housing to food and you even get a paycheck stipend for attending.
Requirements are to be a US citizen over 21, 'have previously identified as black' and 'have one parent of African ancestory'.
You don't actually have to do anything with the land. You can't use it for livestock, though, apparently.
After 5 years you can sell the land, but the government has right of first refusal (ie: they get first dibs on buying it at appraised value).
Priority is given to:
- Current farmers and ranchers (why the fuck do they need free land?)
- "Eligible black individuals with a family history of land dispossession (what the fuck does this mean, so if my bank foreclosed on my house I get free land?)
- Applicants with farming experience, including the aforementioned Farmer Conservation Corps
- Veterans.
So you could literally get kicked out of the Air Force Academy (legally you then qualify as a veteran (yes, seriously)) and now you've met the qualification for priority free land.

Growing up, I noticed something about farmers, there was a significant number of their children in the top of their class. Think valedictorians, future doctors, scientists, brilliant people.
