Preach is a word that makes you feel better about not listening to moral arguments. I used to be pro abortion until someone “preached” to me and changed my mind. I’m sorry you’re stuck in one way of thinking.... you sound like a democrat
No, see, I said I didn't care what you did -- if you don't want to eat meat, then go for it. Just let me do my thing, don't try to go after me for wanting to do it. Then you started in on this. Whatever; have a good life.
LIsten, douchebag....First, you started preaching word salad (on a dead thread) after I said "I don't care if you're a vegan, just let me eat meat and don't preach at me". Second, you did make a presumption in your first post: gun owners ->pick up truck drivers->Southern...those are not 3 things that always go together; you have seen enough of the country to know that, right? (maybe not, but I'm the one that needs to open my eyes, yeah, got it). So...already, as far as I'm concerned you've lost this argument and are now starting to make an ass of yourself.
As for your dog -- well, it wouldn't be right for you to beat it ( your neighbors might care; somebody might call animal control on you (which you'd deserve); the dog might bite you (you'd also deserve)...but I'm not there, and it would depend upon the reason for why you're beating your dog and how hard. I find dog beating and meat eating to be about as stupid an analogy as your abortion/meat eating one to be honest: dogs have a different contract with us than cows do to say the least of the ones deer have, but I will grant that all three creatures should be treated with respect -- my family farms, so we usually buy our meat from them, so no industrial feed lots; when we hunt we go for the one shot/one kill method...and we don't beat our pets, but don't coddle them either (we have working farm/hunting dogs)...see? fair.

But would you care if I beat my dog ?
