It has to do with accountability and restraint of will. The bible is the only book in the history of man that holds man accountable to God's morality and to restrain the sinful/evil tendencies because of BOTH fear and love for God.
You might say, well, Islam teaches the same. No, it doesn't. Islam focuses heavily on doing things for the rewards by their Allah. It's why a lot of times, when muslims convert Christianity, they have a difficult time adjusting to the concept of doing what's right, even when you know you will suffer from the negative results from it. Case in point, ask any recent convert, are any lies acceptable to the Christian God. 9 out of 10 times, they say some lies are not sin, like a lie to save a life.
A lie to save a life might have good intentions behind it, but a bible reading Christian knows all lies are sin. You either hold yourself accountable to God or you don't. There's no fence sitting about this.
Atheists who whine about religion are really railing against human nature. They think religion imposes certain bad mean behavior on people, when in reality, religion just enables that behavior. Gives an excuse for it. But it’s human nature.
If you remove religion completely from civilization, people will either find something new to fight over/be dogmatic about, or replace that religion almost immediately with another religion.
Too true.... a lot of scientists were Christians also.
And i read Tesla and Einstein grew more religious the more they explored the world and universe
