I live in NJ. For 8 months I didn't even know a single person directly who had it. The closest person I "knew" was my friend's friend's girlfriend who I had met once.
8 months later my brother and his wife got it, but they live in Florida. They also were better after 4 days.
For being in NJ, one of the "worst" states, it makes no sense how I didn't have any person in my life catch it from March-October.
8 months and the only people I know who got it were my sister and her family. They were all fine. I'm pretty convinced my whole family got it and were mostly asymptomatic. I can just refuse to co-sign since getting a mountain of useless debt is a terrible idea. So I'm hoping building that adversity and resilience would guide them to starting their own business or working hard enough to game the system and get a scholarship. I'm not against colleges if they're actually free as in working hard enough to get a scholarship but I am against making it free for everyone because then the taxpayer is funding gender studies classes that serve no value to the economy.

I live in NJ. For 8 months I didn't even know a single person directly who had it. The closest person I "knew" was my friend's friend's girlfriend who I had met once.
8 months later my brother and his wife got it, but they live in Florida. They also were better after 4 days.
For being in NJ, one of the "worst" states, it makes no sense how I didn't have any person in my life catch it from March-October.
8 months and the only people I know who got it were my sister and her family. They were all fine. I'm pretty convinced my whole family got it and were mostly asymptomatic. The fear I'm told to feel does not match the threat I'm observing. In 10 years either we'll still be wearing masks or we'll be laughing at how stupid the masks were.

My wife and I got it a couple weeks back. My wife was pretty damn sick for 10 days, I lost sense if smell. Not a big deal for me, but I'm not sure if she would agree with that position.
My 89 and 92 year old great-aunt and great-uncle got it in a nursing home, and both of them came out of it just fine. My great-uncle is even on oxygen full time from COPD, and he beat the 'rona.
You know what's really damaging to their health though? The isolation. None of the family or friends can visit them... STILL. They are both very depressed and lonely.
