BigTech in for a big crash in the coming years. At least with respect to social media’s incessant need to censor the voices of so many and limit the content that they can view and share. We just need Congress to do its job and strike their 230 protections and rewrite/examine all legislation regarding their limits and restrictions. They are in for a rude awakening in the coming years, IMO. They’ll be lucky if their monopolies arent blown up.

Hmmmm? Maybe they're onto something. I dream a dream that big tech gets destroyed by the 2018 EO. Just think about this ...... Dorsey and cuck penniless losing their imagined ivory towers. Lets hope it works out that way.

Nothing would make me happier then to see twitter and Facebook absolutely destroyed, and steaming heap of rubble. People are way too addicted to that trash. A few yrs ago I deleted my FB, never used it much, maybe a few posts a year. Immediately I had people contacting me, why did you delete, what’s going on, we are concerned etc. It’s insane, it’s a fucking website you losers. I take back my initial statement though, Trump being declared the winner (by people with actual authority to do so), and traitors being hanged wouls make me happier.

It really is a cancer. I really hope the EO breaks it up because its turning ppl into infants desperate for approval from strangers .

MSN messenger was the perfect balance

Remember icq?

SobekRa 5 points ago +5 / -0

I do but it was too basic. I liked how MSN allowed a bit of color with a profile pic, nickname and status bar.

The main thing to avoid is the FB type of public posting, which ultimately destroys all diversity and fun because everyone tries to be a person that doesn't exist

Yeah it makes people fake. Well more so the usual. Its a echo chamber and its designed that way. Make people create artificial realities like they're putting on a show. Makes people think they are the center of the universe. Im not trying to be cynical but i can't think of many positive things that come from them. People say it makes connecting easier and i 100 % disagree. It gives the illusion of being connected. How many times have you seen groups of friends walking together with not a single one actually talking and have their heads buried in their phone. Same thing in restaurants ect. I think the cons far outweigh the positive things it produces. Not to mention the fact that its actively spying and profiling you. We are ledgers to them not people. I wish i could remember the name of the doc that goes into its sinister view of their " users".

I thought of something, US laws only apply to humans right? Cuckerberg is a cyborg right? Therefore if the government shut down Facebook (which was not started by an American Human) and 'shut him down' on the front lawn of Facebook HQ no law would be broken. It would be no different than me getting pissed off and throwing my laptop at a wall.

Yeah i did that long ago. I used to periodically get fed up with social media over the years and would delete or deactivate my account. Fb i think i did it like 4times before just recently i reopened it to try and share some stuff i was finding. Thats why im banned. I spread disinformation and have "hateful" posts. For me it has made me happier and i think axing social media would but if some ppl enjoy it thats fine. I am not liking the trend i see with it now it looks all to familiar to the social credit systems we see in china. This is the main reason we need to get them in check immediately. We cannot continue to ignore their clearly nefarious actions.

I finally got through to my Mom about Facebook and Google results and Twitter garbage! She imagines things on he internet being written by newsrooms and professional people that look like her. SO I SHOWED HER Zuckerberg. I showed her the soy-freak that makes the Google holiday doodles. I showed her Dorsey-Bin-Laden. And I showed her the cheep temp folding tables and rented office space where Buzzfeed and Vice employees write their clickbait shit on laptops for 30k a year.

She gets it now. It's not journalism. It's a handful of retards gatekeeping information because they are hate-filled butthurt losers.

After this Trump should just use his EO to take all Facebook, Twitter and Google assets and shut them down.

3
SobekRa 3 points ago +3 / -0

Would be awesome to make a stimulus package out of them and redistribute the funds amongst the general population, to be spent in USA businesses only

3
GodSpeedTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

exactly, that would help cover the stimulus package, maybe this is why Trump kept increasing the value of it, was adding up all the companies he was going to take down.

In that story there is a claim that their government was using COVID funds I assume inappropriately and that people were sharing that on Facebook.

If that’s the case, seems like FB is being used in a good manner.

climatestatis 2 points ago +2 / -0

A few weeks ago, the Solomon Islands Government faced criticism over documents leaked on Facebook that showed how COVID-19 funds for economic recovery had been spent.

Socialismsuckz 4 points ago +4 / -0

I hate to agree with this but I do. Honestly at this point facebook and twitter should be considered cyber terrorists entities world wide . They are aiding and facilitating the destruction of countries everywhere.

4
BadBreath911 4 points ago +4 / -0

Don't only like four people live on the Solomon island?

3
climatestatis 3 points ago +3 / -0

I can't agree with this. The reasoning is weak. That given, I don't use FB and recommend others do not as well.
