Honestly I believe they ran out of true “victims” to play and so that’s why we are seeing the party as a whole take a massive nose dive into the deep left. Trump has broken them by showing any American with a brain that their globalist agenda was breaking us.
Yes - the left has always needed victims as a way to advocate their policies.
However, we are presently living in the most tolerant and non-racist society the world has ever known. So the only "victims" the left can find are not actually victims of anything. So they are reaching into the realm of imaginary victimhood to try and act as advocated for (i.e. microaggressions, systemic racism, anyone who follows Islam, anyone in jail who is not white, etc.).
Also, it's why there are so many hate crime hoaxes and false accusations of racism - their is a real-life shortage of it for them to push their group identity politics.
You guys are right. The pathology of the left is a result of classic liberalism's fundamental mindset of wanting change and the elimination of controlling power structures.
That's a good thing, but at some point it became more about perpetuating that ideology instead accomplishing good. And because we've gotten our country in such a good state, they no have to manufacture victims and oppressors in order to "fight the fight". They are struggling for the sake of struggling.
And of course, on a higher level, they're totally being used to usher in world communism.
