Gab has been around for years, doesn't censor, and also doesn't require a bunch of personally identifiable info from you. Gab also doesn't make you invisible until people purposefully follow you. Gab allows people to see things without being a member. Parler doesn't. Gab is superior in every way.
Gab got ZERO help from establishment or any media pushing it. Why do you think that is? Parler is not needed especially when Gab is infinitely better.

Gab and OANN have not been receiving any attention and remain the most free, most based of the new mass media organizations.

I also use their Dissenter Browser, a souped up Brave browser with the ability to "dissent" in ANY site (just login your Gab account). Don't forget to install uBlock Origin, HTTPS Evverywhere and Decentraleyes extensions (chrome compatible ones).
I agree, I stopped using it a while back because the app wasn't working and its difficult to update but I think open is definitely better, however I think Parler feels more professional which is why its attracting more normie conservatives.

Censorship is Censorship. It's a slippery slope. It's nothing to do with the porn itself. It's porn today, then it's no nude photography, then it's no photos with revealing clothes, and on and on. Before you know it we are back in high school and pics with spaghetti strap shirts in them are banned.
They are just banning Alex Jones. Is that really a big deal? Do you really need Alex Jones on Twitter? Look how quickly that single thing grew.
They shouldn't be telling people what they can and can't post if their platform is actually about freedom of expression. They should be ignoring things they don't like, not deleting them. The entire reason they made Gab was because Twitter is editorializing what people can post, and Gab started doing the exact same thing.
