I called this years ago - Germany is a military shell of what it once was, but German's love conquest and control. This time it was just handed to them - which is insane. Brits and Francs still have grudges from 500 years ago, but no hard feelings over the 2 major conflicts and lives lost due to German ambition in the last century.
If one thing's clear though, German ambition is ALWAYS their demise. This time, they're just bringing down the rest of Europe with them..
British and French people don't actually have any genuine animosity towards each other, it's just a British thing to take the piss out the French and the Germans especially the French since we spent the best part of a thousand years as mortal enemies.
For sure, but it wasn't long ago, that there was some serious animosity. Now-a-days, few care and its just tradition and funny, but for AGES it was serious. And none of the conflict, even the 100 years war was anything close to world war 1, let alone world war 2.
