see i thought of how i would conquer africa if i was an african leader.....it would be fairly simple in my mind. Start with your neighbors, join one nation, just like hitler did with austria, convince another nation next to my nation to declare themselves a nuetral safe haven like switzerland..kind of but more freindly as an escape strategy. Then build the military much again, like germany..... use the show of force to "convince a few others" to make that decision on their own (still not a shot fired) ----id start with the areas with more tribal life than modern simply because they could care less....Unlike germany however, i think i would wait, a while before invading anywhere. But I would not just go ham, i would only initially go after places that are strategic, with rivers, ports, etc..oil...esp those with corrupt govs that the people already hate. I would def borrow the blitzkrieg strategy but allow each conquered state to gov themselves much like a US state under a constitution much like ours but far more direct and detailed.

I think countries like Nigeria, Liberia, Congo, etc would welcome a civilized African Republic, and I would 1000% name my new nation Carthage .
