I saw that one too. Unfortunately it's hard finding real numbers without huge covid disclaimers or being rerouted to covid articles. They're making it unnecessarily hard to find basic data. It's ridiculous.
Probably but there is a lag in reporting so will be sometime before we have better 2020 numbers. I looked at FL a few days ago and over the last 5 years the total goes up on average about 4,359/year. However, the last 2 years it has only gone up about 1700/yr. This year with a couple months to go we are currently up only 749 but there is a lag so will be a while for official total for year. Nevertheless, it doesn't appear as if there is the huge covid spike we are all led to believe. I should also point out that I looked at a few websites and the yearly death totals varied by 1-2% between sites for same year.
