I think a great story is the many Americans who refuse to give up their Thanksgiving festivities and those who refuse to snitch on them. The desire for and love of simple, joyful things such as seeing loved ones and having a party with them (good cheer, good food, simple love of one another and love of life) is a source of great strength and wholesomeness for a people. That so many refuse to give that up (after repeated onslaughts, stretching back decades, culminating in these tyrannical acts) should give us all hope.

Tolkein's hobbits are the heroes for a reason ;)

Well, thank you -- I do believe in the simple heroism of everyday acts of good. They are much stronger than people give them credit for.

Virtue sold out to unfettered treasonous greed.
