The commentator that I find gets through to people who don't agree politically with me, or who aren't that political, is Matt Christiansen. People really respond to calm, thoughtful, impeccably reasoned approach, combined with his ability to point out logical inconsistencies and easily get to the heart of the matter. From his videos like the one he did on the role of government being seen by liberals as taking care of the populace, vs conservatives seeing it as protecting rights, and how the constitution backs that up, or the one discussing why we're not a "democracy," to the ones that take on things like hate crime statistics or specific BLM cases, his way of communicating is so effective. It's non-combative, but also cedes no ground. He really doesn't get mentioned enough, or get enough credit.
