My family did the same. I'm not down for a Zoom Thanksgiving. That makes a mockery of one of our most sacred American traditions!

I wish this were true. Unfortunately, there are normies galore who will be skipping Thanksgiving.

It's the reverse for us. We aren't going because going to see my girlfriends family for the night is boring and they annoy us. Plus we are just sick of the traditional food. My mom however does a beef rib roast which is normally good. Too far away though.

Same boat here. If we'd gone for Thanksgiving, we would've been surrounded by TDS idiocy from start to finish. Now all of them are cancelling Thanksgiving because "deadly pandemic", and all I can think is "movie marathon at home".

My girlfriends dad is a pretty conservative. Navy vet, electrician for most his life. Her mother on the other hand is an ex California beach girl who spends most of her time hopped up on pain pills. She is all about getting shit for free so will (or would if she wasn't a felon) vote for who ever offers the most free stuff.

Hell she voted for Bill Clinton because she thought he was hot. So family gatherings normally start out with bad food (because of the pills she cant cook for shit anymore) and then devolve into angry rants between her and her husband. And the night finishes off with her being butt hurt and off into her bedroom she goes.

Not what i would call fun.

True story: one of the lefties I recently encountered said, no joke, that he's anxious about his upcoming family zoom meeting because it will allow his problematic family members to espouse their hatred directly to everyone at the same time.

I said maybe he should sit out. You know, to protect himself from that harm.

(And maybe the rest of his family will have a nice time.)

So, my youngest sister-in-law brought covid home to my mother and father in law. They gave it to my husband and then to me. We’ve had two birthday parties and about to have thanksgiving Libtard-free! The best part, we (including my obese, diabetic, 55 yr old in laws) had minimal symptoms.
