God modelled our human relationships on spiritual realities. Before there ever was a man and a woman, who could relate and have a child, before even the first atom was created, there was GOD THE FATHER and his SON Jesus, and we who were yet to be created were destined to be His adopted children. He welcomes each of us back to his family as the earthly father welcomes his prodigal son.
It rocks my mind that so many supposedly "intelligent" people don't recognize the sheer mastery, beauty, and poetry of God's eternal plan.
Wow. Thanks, this really hits the nail on the head. I would add, something that gets me thinking when I'm eating or drinking something very tasteful or very filling: when I start to thank God it strikes me that He created the very taste buds that allow me to enjoy that food! So what to thank Him for first, food or taste buds 🤷😄
The desire for justice also reminds me of Abraham, who "searched for a city with foundations, whose builder and maker is God."
Tears in my eyes just reading this.

Thanks, this was very enlightening.
Lewis really nails it.
