I would have thrown Sullivan out the door for failing to adhere to legal maxim, "justice delayed is justice denied". In this case, it applies to a horrific level.

While it was understandable that he would have personal qualms about the prosecution resting (mostly driven by his personal bias), he was slow-balling every action in the court to unreasonable levels. The fairest option on the table would have been to put two weeks together to assess the situation properly (yes, it was unusual, but not unheard of) and make a ruling based on the circumstances (mistrial, guilty, innocent, etc).

I honestly don't care whether Sullivan was biased or not in this case. He should be disbarred for the abuse he put on Flynn (forcing him to retain legal representation for undue periods of time, removing his right to appeal the case, etc.)
