Is it really "cancel culture" for boycotting the purchase of a product where you've previously only purchased it because of the stance that they offered, only to learn the CEO is supporting the opposite of what their company advertises?
We never bought BRCC because the coffee was outstanding, but rather the cause behind it. Invert the cause and its just overprices, mediocre coffee.
Now if you choose to be a big fat ass clown and run around trying to actively harm their business by contacting their distributors, sponsors...etc then yes.
According to Mike Glover this is happening to BRCC - but it is likely these are leftist opportunists doing this type of activity.
Evan Hafer donated to Obama once in 2008, while still working for the Department of Defense. This was after 8 years of Neocons sending his friends to die in pointless wars. Many voted for Obama believing the "Change" lies and thinking we don't want John McCain as president. (I'm discounting the 'lost bet' explanation entirely).
He then donated to a Navada republican in 2018, and to Tulsi Gabbard in 2019.
Tulsi Gabbard was the only real anti-war Democrat in the primary that year, and even though this is still a mistake, it is not a nefarious one. She is the best kind of Democrat we can hope for, so helping her could even be a smart strategy.
If this is Cancel worthy, the MAGA movement would not have happened.
Remember that many of us here are ex-Obama voters that now know better, but had awful choices with McCain and Romney.
We should not act like the self-devouring leftists. Think before acting.
None of these are Cancel worthy.
Obama was perceived as the better choice by many military members in 2008 because McCain was just another Neocon and Obama lied to everyone by promising to bring the troops back home. A big portion of the MAGA movement made the same choice, and learned the same lessons.
Tulsi Gabbard is the best democrat out of the bunch in 2019, and even though we should be cynical and expect the worst, I am not surprised she got support from a fellow veteran for her open anti-war rhetoric. She's the most useful opponent we have - so this donation is either a small mistake or a good long terms strategy.
None of this is cancel worthy. Unless someone finds more data points I will consider this story a character assassination and an embarrassment for our side.
BRCC did not abandon the values or their staff of veterans.
BRCC does not want their accounts cancelled by engaging the type of activism they were pushed into with that affiliate link. That was a bad move by the Blaze TV reporter.
BRCC is created by Veterans that fought and bled for the rest of us, something that was too easily forgotten as they were vilified. They should have gotten more chances to explain their actions, and we should have been more understanding.
We need to be more vigilant - we have great power and must be more responsible in using it. We should not become a purity-spiral like the leftist SJW's.
Remember how we even gave Sanders voters a coat in the MAGA movement?
If they disavowed and agreed to share our values, they were welcome.
We should keep doing that, we are better! MAGA!
this guy saw success in the military, and worked hard to build a brand after, great. others didnt see that same success in the military because they faced the cancel culture of the military early on. If people want to stop buying BRCC because they think the people runnning it are full of shit, so be it. quit trying to "educate" me with you shill propaganda.

We should all be smarter. I tried to verify what you said and here is what I found: https://www.opensecrets.org/donor-lookup/results?name=Evan+Hafer

Was the cancelling of BRCC in this community earlier a mistake?
Mike Glover seems to think the criticism was overblown and a Veteran made business is now threatened for now good reason.
Are we playing into the hands of the leftist trolls that are laughing at this infighting from their bench at Starcucks?
EDIT: These are the campaign contributions.
One $500 to Obama back in 2008
One $1000 to a Nevada republican in 2018
One $500 to Tulsi Gabbard in 2019
