Listen to them. They've been told the same "truths" as long as they can remember. Most of them are hopelessly trapped in debt because of predatory lending and false promises. Then they are told that socialism is their salvation and capitalism is the cause of their sorrows. They think all capitalism is the cronyism and incestuous business/govt relationship that fucked them over because that's what they've been taught all their life. It seems they also assume that everyone labouring under capitalism is a debt slave like them (yes, but I'm not getting into the Fed here) and needs to be liberated.
TL;DR: they've been trapped and their captors are claiming that socialism is the lifeline.
We do have crony capitalism, that is certainly where we have failed, but our system is way better then socialism, and with trump at the helm, we might actually be able to pull out of this, into a great country again. But I do think blood shed will come. We are unfortunately at our 80 year cycle.. 1940,1860, 1776-1784, :/ its our time..
That is the easy part to understand. Leftism and cultural Marxism of various types have utterly compromised our information stream. It started way back when I was a kid, they have been working on this for 50 years now.
When everything you see, read, hear, learn in school is slowly colored and perverted over time, it's no surprise people believe outlandish ideas. I pulled my kids from public school in the mid 90's to home school, as a divorced mom because the educational system wasn't educating them. And I taught them critical thinking skills from a very early age, and actively encouraged them applying those skills to everything they were exposed to, to inoculate them against bullshit ideas. So they are well educated.
But most of the people in their generation were not taught those filtering skills. Nor were the generation that followed theirs. So unless those people got lucky and ran into someone who was, they are screwed.
