Listen to them. They've been told the same "truths" as long as they can remember. Most of them are hopelessly trapped in debt because of predatory lending and false promises. Then they are told that socialism is their salvation and capitalism is the cause of their sorrows. They think all capitalism is the cronyism and incestuous business/govt relationship that fucked them over because that's what they've been taught all their life. It seems they also assume that everyone labouring under capitalism is a debt slave like them (yes, but I'm not getting into the Fed here) and needs to be liberated.
TL;DR: they've been trapped and their captors are claiming that socialism is the lifeline.
We do have crony capitalism, that is certainly where we have failed, but our system is way better then socialism, and with trump at the helm, we might actually be able to pull out of this, into a great country again. But I do think blood shed will come. We are unfortunately at our 80 year cycle.. 1940,1860, 1776-1784, :/ its our time..
