As a Canadian, I never learned much about the founding fathers. After I started reading Thomas Jefferson quotes, I'm beginning to wonder if he was one of the smartest and most competent men to ever live. I don't usually get enthralled by specific figures in history but I would read books solely about Jefferson.

Yup... Though, for awhile after WWII what benefited America benefited the banks. That started to change around the 70s and it has been a decline since.
Do you know how to decouple from banks? I've thought about it lots but I don't see an easy solution.
