I can't believe this is getting upvotes. The watermark claim was that all ballots in all states have them (they don't). Even CISA said that on their official website.

Yeah, lots of documents have watermarks. The theory was about some weird block chain watermark being used as a sting that I tend to think was just a psyop to get people to quit looking for fraud. There is nothing unusual about some states using watermarks on documents, including ballots, and I don't recall seeing anyone argue otherwise.

It was built on a grain of truth. A chick named Reality Winner was caught leaking classified info because the printer generated microdots that were unique to the person and document printed, yet they were invisible to the naked eye. Therefore, it was plausible that mass mail-in ballots would have some similar near-invisible tech to individually track ballots being printed. The primary issue is that regulations on securing printed mail-in ballots are very inconsistent and each state essentially does it's own thing.
