I used to wonder why so many gamers were liberals because I am a gamer myself and I am VERY conservative.

Then I realized it's because they are unemployed, sitting around smoking weed all day and playing games. Conservatives are busy with work and doing productive things, raising a family, etc. Liberals are sitting down playing vidya games 24/7 because they got nothing better to do. And that's coming from a fellow gaymer.
