I wonder why this tribe was known as "The Destroyers" - could they have acted in, uhh, savage ways? Could they have raided & massacred & conquered & enslaved other tribes?
They rape and pillage, like all humans. They started a lot of the problems between the English and the Dutch in the mid-1630s. They poked and prodded and were arrogant in their desire to conquest trade routes and secure pillaged goods for themselves.
You know what the settlers did? They told the natives: NOT IN MY LAND, MOTHER FUCKER.
They got their asses kicked - and in some cases, rightfully so. Then they complain that the ass-whooping they got hurt them.
If they didn't get their asses kicked they would have raped and murdered every settler.
