I deleted my fb account last week. Goes into effect in a couple weeks. It feels better taking action that matches my values, than continuing to be their ad- receiving audience.
Cancelled Amazon prime, never had Twitter, get my food from a subscription farm box, and trying to support smaller business.
I quit both on 11/13/2020. The censorship is beyond ridiculous. Got to admit I miss my families posts on facebook but it's not worth it. Praying for the day of reckoning when all the media gets to pay for their spreading of propaganda. (Something like burn in hell would suit me fine. Literally)
Absolutely! There are alternate sites. Just a matter of getting the family and friends to go to. Something I have not been able to accomplish YET. Gotta keep spreading the word.
Trump is on twitter. Social media is where the fight is being fought. They want you to leave, so all you're doing is giving them a win when you leave.
I do agree with your message if you're talking about people who go on social media for non political reasons like keeping up with sports and shit.
But those sites are the front lines of this infowar and we must fight on that battlefield.

You wouldn't be boycotting them, you would be silencing yourself.
You could also go to the other platforms to help them become popular, but leaving the battlefield because of casualties isn't the best action to take.

Thank you for quitting. But a lot of people on here still use it. They only way to stop the censorship is for them to lose members than advertising

They can't censor you if you're not on it. There's Gab, Parler and other platforms.
THIS platform is the top 500 US websites, use it to plug posts on parler & gab.
I stopped using Facebook over a year ago and Twitter a few months ago...
