i think its a civil suit because if i read it right the others have to prove preponderance of her claim but if it was a criminal suit she would have to prove something or other, from what I read it was easier to push through because they had to prove that she was full of shit, which they can't.

Correct, of you file a criminal action you have to prove "Beyond a shadow of doubt" which is much harder to prove. Not that any of us have any doubt.
