They don't live in reality. It's a scary thing to see. It is impossible to communicate with them because they simply refuse to accept objective facts. The entire West coast is like some deep baked cult. Twitter tries to ban and censor anything that is unpleasant to their cooky narrative.
Just a regular old paperwhite. Absolutely love the thing.
You can set up an email address that links to your kindle, which allows you to upload any document you'd like by simply sending an attachment to the address.
Highly recommend picking up a refurbished one. They're like 60 bucks or something nowadays.
Of course! FYI - you can get almost any book for free. Google "libgen" a nd you should quickly find a searching site that looks similar to the Pirate Bay. Search an author or title and you'll likely find many versions of what you're looking for.
The file format that works best is .mobi as it's an actual eReader format (so you can adjust the font, layout, etc. - while .pdf files are simply a 1:1 page with less customization).
If a .mobi file isn't available, download any of the other eReader formats available (.epub and others), download Calibre (free) and convert the file using that. Calibre also let's you change the Metadata (the title which might be awkward by default, the author to align with the presentation you prefer, even the book cover image) and convert to .mobi - then you can email it right to your device!
It's such a little-discussed life hack that has gotten me back into reading so effectively.
I used to be a big paperback reader but in the past decade or so I’ve tapered off to basically just digital articles and audiobooks. There’s definitely something to be said for long form content that you’re actively reading instead of passively listening to. I’m guessing this is going to help me re-engage. Thanks pede, hoping you’ve enjoyed your thanksgiving!
Anyone who can casually dismiss the total corruption of our democracy and election fraud is, pardon my French, fucked in the head. I’ve had to Throw my arms up with much of my family and friends.
People who are willing to allow us to turn into a third world banana republic with rigged elections because “orange man bad” are a cancer to America. Let us pray for them.
Isnt it amazing how the people that screamed about "Russian Collusion" for 4 years and now screaming about how secure the election just was? We should remind them that whatever rigged election they think happened last time was under Obama and this newest "super secure" one happened under Trump.
Realize that deep down, I don’t think they believe Biden won.
They are loudly and obnoxiously dismissing fraud because it’s the current leftist signal flare to send up to see who else in the room (or wherever they do this) is part of the hive. If you out yourself you will be perceived as a threat to the hive and attacked in one way or another.
I feel bad mostly. The in laws are boomers who have trusted the MSM network shows their entire lives. The sibling-in laws are just products of that - incredibly smart and capable people who are simply too mislead by the common narrative to see any other reality.
They're good people though. I was an NPC before 2016 and swore by the NYT and CNN's reporting. I was raised to follow well-estblished sources, which unless you make an outward effort to challenge their credibility (which is rare in most cases), you essentially have no reason to not trust them.
It's sad, really. There's a few who are nauseating with how much they drink the koolaide, but for the most part they're just lost.
Well versed in negligent bullshit is how I describe them. Were the media honest, they'd be on board. Alas, its not - and breaking the conditioning is something one has to personally take on themselves. No amount of arguing or debating can change that.
I drop a red pill here and there. I try to leave some crumbs that make them think. My fiancé has reluctantly seen the light, but the social pressure is so strong that we both tend to let them babble on about whatever nonsense they believe.
We gotta get the truth out there. For no other reason than to prevent having to quickly explain to our relatives the truth when the media leads their followers into a Civil War.
Open it up in Adobe Reader and have it read out loud to you loud enough for them to hear it.
I’ve had to cut a few out. I don’t want my children around communist sympathizers.
Don't bother arguing with them. They won't understand in any circumstance. Eat turkey knowing you are a rational person.

Literally NPCs. Tons in my family too.

Exact same boat here.
