It’s sad- my 7 year old can read the Bill of Rights and tell you what that means- Ivy League idiots can’t.

Liberal intellectuals spend a lot of their brainpower to try to justify not following the Constitution.

You can go to church because 1776. NY is about to get a dose of 1776 if they don’t figure out how to not 1984.

Isn’t it sad that religious freedom had to go all the way to the Supreme Court? This should be a no brained that every American supports

I wonder if that large jewish syn. can drop having to pay that huge fine they got the other day?

They’d have to sue, I’m sure.

They need to go.

I love to see Kenny from the Walton and Johnson radio show and the Pursuit of Happiness radio show get some love from people outside of the South.

Pedes check them out if you're in the mood for news and pissing off snowflakes.

JUSTICE BREYER, with whom JUSTICE SOTOMAYOR and JUSTICE KAGAN join, dissenting

...

found that New York’s regulations were “crafted based on science"

Meanwhile, the scientists at WHO:

We in the World Health Organization do not advocate lockdowns

https://nypost.com/2020/10/11/who-warns-against-covid-19-lockdowns-due-to-economic-damage/

Sotomayor with the truly brain damaged comments:

The Governor’s comments simply do not warrant an application of strict scrutiny under this Court’s precedents. Just a few Terms ago, this Court declined to apply heightened scrutiny to a Presidential Proclamation limiting immigration from Muslim-majority countries, even though President Trump had described the Proclamation as a “Muslim Ban,” ... If thePresident’s statements did not show “that the challenged restrictions violate the ‘minimum requirement of neutrality’ to religion,” ante, at 2 (quoting Lukumi, 508 U. S., at 533), it is hard to see how Governor Cuomo’s do

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.

I don't care what level of government you are in. If you don't respect the U.S. Constitution, fuck you.

3
Pederella 3 points ago +3 / -0

Seeking clarification....does this order only smite Cuomo, or nationwide orders directed at religious assembly?

4
KuzoKevin [S] 4 points ago +4 / -0

It sets a legal precedent that every other court in the country is obliged to follow. The fine details of the ruling may leave some wiggle room, but over all this is settled law.

2
Modus_Pwninz 2 points ago +2 / -0

Not so fast! Cuomo said this ruling was irrelevant. Which means...

flips pages...

flips back...and forward again...

Yeah okay, actually that means fuck all and he is a giant cock sucking lib faggot who deserves #rope, George Washington said so.

Smurfection 2 points ago +2 / -0

God Bless President Trump and all the Justices that ruled in favor of religious liberty!

Too bad one of the R is a Rino, would have been 6-3 otherwise.

2
TribeGuy97 2 points ago +2 / -0

So does this also mean my small group Bible study of ~8-10 people can continue meeting in my home?

3
Maccherokee 3 points ago +3 / -0

Always could and always can. The right to do so was bestowed by nature's Creator and guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution

1
TribeGuy97 1 point ago +1 / -0

Right, right. I understand that. Hadn't stopped Mike Dewine from trying to force home gatherings to less than 10 people (and 6 in my city)

1
Maccherokee 1 point ago +1 / -0

Was there any enforcement? That would be something you could get handled pro-bono. It would likely be trial by ordeal rather than by a jury of your peers, but I think you'd come out on top in the end. My church ignored his orders because they are unconstitutional and as such unenforceable.

1
TribeGuy97 1 point ago +1 / -0

I know there was at least one incident of enforcement in my city yesterday

2
Rothbard 2 points ago +2 / -0

How was this not unaninous?

Its bs. The scotus used to rarely vote 5-4. Stopping relgious freedoms is clearly a violation of the constitution. Seems like an open and shut case.

I hope Roberts is just being a cuck and wil vote withe the constitution when his vote is needed.

2
Zeriel 2 points ago +2 / -0

You already saw that he won't! All the Dems need is one more SCOTUS pick and then you can use the constitution as toilet paper

2
Rothbard 2 points ago +2 / -0

My guess is that was always the plan of letting Mitch change it to a 51-49 vote for scotus. They knew theyd cheat and stack the court anyway.

2
Zeriel 2 points ago +2 / -0

Imagine if that one lady didn't die just months ago? If that Demonrat was still on this earth, this whole country would have no hope right now. I hope there's a special place in hell for people who cause so much destruction with their mere precense.

2
Rothbard 2 points ago +2 / -0

Yeah thats it. That was the plan and her dying fucked it all for them.

1
Zeriel 1 point ago +1 / -0

I truly believe that God is watching over this country. It was a Miracle that Trump won despite all the corruption in 2016 and it was a Miracle that the RGB Demonrat was taken just before Trumps term was over. If that Demon lasted just a few more weeks on this earth then Democracy would've been 100% lost. We still have a chance to repent and change our ways.

And yet a bunch of fake Christians will vote for Biden.

1
Eric42 1 point ago +1 / -0

What does this mean? All churches get their rights back, or only ones in NY that filed lawsuit?

3
KuzoKevin [S] 3 points ago +3 / -0

SCUTUS decisions are the rule of law in every courtroom in the country.

The particulars of this case might not apply to other situations, but it certainly shows which way the court will rule on similar cases in the future.

1
Gesirisi 1 point ago +1 / -0

Does the ruling still allow them to limit capacity and shit like that?
