I think it's worth stating because it's often forgotten.
Republican voters are far more consistent with what they believe between individuals. I'm not referring to bandwagons here. I'm referring to people who fully understand what they believe, and share these beliefs with the people that live nearby.
Leftists have a sort of 'hive mind' thing going on, but that's just a matter of 'vote blue no matter who' taken to it's logical extreme. I think it's been a long long time since so-called 'progressives' ended up with candidates they actually like.
There is a long and slow process going on where RINOs are slowly getting primary'd and the Republican Senate and House candidates are coming closer and closer to what Republican voters actually want.
Meanwhile, Democrat candidates are all over the place, because that reflects their voters. There's people like Ilhan Omar and AOC that are absolutely HATED by some democrat voters and politicians while celebrated by others.
If this trend continues, the Democratic party will continue to bleed voters from their key demographics (young people, college-educated), and contrary to what those damn doomers are saying, will lead to a political future of the US that is decidedly Republican.
That's what I'd like to see, and I think it's very likely.
But that also means that you can't assume they're some kind of monolith, even though they vote like one. They're just a mess. Democrat voters may not all be evil, but they pretty consistently vote for it. Keep that in mind if you find yourself talking to Democrat voters IRL.

Technically possible though unlikely because demographics is destiny
If immigration is spiraling out of control, we can expect to become bluer and bluer over time.
It isn't though. Not anymore. For now we seem to have a handle on it. And if you think about which groups are having the most kids, there's no guarantee they'll be leftists either. I'm pretty sure Hispanics have a consistent number of kids, and they're not really Dem voters typically.
With respect to the Black vote and the immigrant vote, Dems are losing that too. Slowly, but they are losing it. And I'm not just talking about this cycle. This is a larger trend. New voter registration for the Democrat party is consistently and precipitously falling with no end in sight. TDS isn't helping. The more the Dems base their image on TDS, the more their voters forget what Dems actually claim to care about. I would wager they get demolished in the 2022 midterms.
What's happened is the Progressives/Socialists are trying to take over the Democrat Party. The average person I know that votes Democrat is not extremely Progressive. They are like I used to be... a left leaning moderate. Rather than start their own party, the progressives are trying to force the establishment Democrats to conform to their insanity. It's causing a civil war of sorts.
In the Republican Party, Trump supports vastly outnumber establishment Republicans, so we have been successful at taking over the party.... the Progressives do not outnumber the more moderate Democrats. So the Democrat Party is trying to please both groups of people, and in so doing they are pleasing no one.
These are just my observations.
