When colleges don't allow any individual study or thought they cripple progress. There is a belief that one must stand on everyone else's shoulders in their respective ine of study. That leaves no room for innovators like Elon Musk, for example. Some people should be allowed to dictate their own study. Only then will the really big breakthroughs be realized.
