There's philosophical truth, and there's the objective reality of the situation in which we currently find ourselves.
How is this for objective reality. We all collectively grow some balls. When the cop knocks on the door. Homeowner answers. "I would like to surrender myself peacefully if you will allow my family to enjoy their holiday together" cops-"no, youre all under arrest". Opens door to view of ten family kembers aiming directly at the officers stating "we will not comply". Would it be reality then?
IF it happened, then yes, but it won't happen.
People talking big shit on the internet are always hoping someone else will go first.
The second the cops saw guns they'd draw down, and your Dirty Harry fantasy is going to be ruined when grandma gets blown away while you're busy trying to decide if you're really as ready to start shooting cops over thanksgiving dinner as you claim you are when there aren't consequences for your big talk.
Those of you that survive get thrown in jail, and the vast majority of the country believe you had it coming. At least half the people on this very forum will be singing "back the blue" and calling it completely justified.
How's that for Objective Reality?
Believe what you want fren. I would be willing to bet there were those like you that let the british burn their countrymen in churches, while those like you stood back and watched, and only after those atrocities either 1; offed themselves cause they were unwilling to stand, or 2; joined in the fight for revolution because they wouldnt be able to stomach watching happen again. So there is your choice. Man up or get the hell out.
